From its inception in 1991 through today, Zigzag has produced designs for hundreds of CD, LP, DVD, and even cassette tape packages over the years for clients ranging from Concord and Black Top Records to Rounder and Shanachie Records and dozens in between. While located in New Orleans, CD packaging was a major part of Zigzag's business. But with the advent of digital music, the demand for CD package design has slowed considerably. Zigzag has won a number of design awards for CD package design, and frequently takes part in art direction, photography, research, copywriting, and illustration for the packages.
