Newsletters are a time-tested means of helping clients and stakeholders keep abreast of a company or organization's activities. They are also a highly efficient means of strengthening a brand identity. An effective method of communicating with subsidiaries, employees, customers, investors and the general public, newsletters might be printed and mailed or distributed electronically to email lists, often through online resources like MailChimp, Constant Contact and others. These latter require that the designer merely design an easy-to-use template, so that in-house personnel can just "fill in the blanks" each month to change the newsletter. Many, if not most, use a one-page format; others incorporate several pages. The best are well-designed, written in crisp, bright prose, engaging and reinforce the best aspects of the brand. Zigzag has designed scores of newsletters over the years, some highly conservative and others much more unconventional.
